St John’s Church is very proud of our linked school, St John’s Church of England Primary School, Meads, and we are continuing to sustain and grow our relationship with them, supporting the school staff and pupils throughout the year.

Tristram Peattie, our Children & Families Minister, works at the School two days a week.

Comments from their latest OFSTED report – 2012:

‘The distinctiveness and effectiveness of St John’s Meads C of E School as a Church of England school are Outstanding. There are very strong Christian beliefs and values underpinning all the school does that creates a vibrant and exciting environment for learning. The school lives its vision where they aim to be ‘a caring, Christian learning place, developing our love of God and others, our self-respect and courtesy.’ This is seen in very good quality leadership, worship and the teaching of Religious Education (RE) that is highly valued by the children, their families, the local churches and the wider community’.
