Hiring the Parish Hall

St John’s Parish Hall, situated on the corner of Meads Road and Meads Street, is a popular venue for community events, such as dance classes, U3A and club meetings, as well as the Church’s weekly Lunch Club and Coffee-Pot meetings.

The Parish Hall consists of several spaces, plus a kitchen. The large hall measures 13.6 x 9.52 metres (44 x 31 feet), and the Salwey Room (especially suitable for small meetings) is 6.6 x 4.8 metres (21 x 16 feet).

ANNUAL CHURCH MEETINGS
These will take place on Tuesday 13 April, at 7pm in the Parish Hall.
The Annual Parish Meeting, at which the Churchwardens are elected, will be followed immediately by the Annual Parochial Church Meeting, which reviews the past year at St John's, approves the financial reports and holds any elections needed. All members of the church are encouraged to attend.

The MOVEMENT TO MUSIC CLASS for adults is proving so popular that it has transferred to a larger space at the back of the Church: Tuesday mornings, 10.30 - 11.30am. The classes are free and open to anyone who'd like to join in. If you're interested, please phone the Church Office for more information (01323 738671).

The ELECTORAL ROLL is being updated. The current roll is on display in the cloisters and in the back of the church. If your name isn't on it, but you'd like to be added, please fill up a form and hand it in; you are eligible to join if you live in the parish or have worshipped at St John's for the last 6 months. If your name is already on the current roll, you don't have to fill up another form.
