Concerts

St John’s Church building has wonderful acoustics, and we have developed a tradition of Coffee Concerts on Saturday mornings. Dates below, with further details to follow.

Saturday 30 June

THE MEADS SINGERS

10.30am (coffee served from 10.00am); the concert will be followed by sherry and fruit juice.
Admission free (but donations welcomed, half of which will go to the RNLI). All welcome.

Saturday 1 September

JOHN SLATER MEMORIAL ORGAN CONCERT – John Collins

DEBBIE ADOBE – Mezo Soprano

The building work on the EXTENSION TO THE CHURCH'S PAULING ROOM is now in full swing. This means that not only the Pauling Room but also the entrance by the church office and a part of the east end of the church garden will be out of bounds while the building work is in progress (so entry to the church is only through the west door, facing Staveley Road). But we are confident that any inconvenience caused will be more than compensated for by the new building, scheduled for completion in the autumn.
